Maristella Patuzzi

Maristella Patuzzi recorded Ravel's Tzigane for the Televisione della Svizzera italiana, just after her eleventh birthday. At the age of thirteen, Sony published her first live CD. She has won first prizes in national and international competitions. At seventeen she was awarded the Diploma in Violin as at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milano. Since 2002 she has performed as soloist with the several Orchestras. In 2009 she was awarded the Master in Indiana University and in 2011 her second Master in Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana. Since 2013 she recorded at Auditorium RSI in Lugano for Brilliant Classics, DECCA and Dynamic. In 2018 Maristella received the Premio Anassilaos for the significant contribution in the domain of Arts and Culture, in Reggio Calabria. In August 2019 the music magazine Amadeus, dedicated her its cover, with an interview and attached a new CD, recorded in duo with her father Mario, pianist, dedicated to Sarasate, realized in "World Music Studio & Live" in Milano.

She has performed in many festivals: the Lake District Summer Music Festival, the Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano, the International Rostropovich Festival in Baku, and in 2019 the Mozart Festival in Tokyo.

Her violin is Michael Platner, Rome 1728. The lend of this violin is part of the project "Adopt a musician", one of the initiatives managed by MusicMasterpieces of Lugano.
